At Momma Olson’s, we refuse to use paraffin wax, a by-product of petroleum that emits toxic chemicals like benzene and toluene into the air, leaving behind black soot and causing headaches. While our soy candles may have a slightly textured appearance after burning, this is due to our commitment to using only natural ingredients without any chemical enhancers, preservatives, hardeners, or paraffin. Similarly, our beeswax candles may develop cracks on the surface as the wax shrinks during cooling, but this does not affect their performance in any way.
